At its meeting on 14 December 2009 the Trustees approved postgraduate nursing scholarships totaling $10,000, and a further $4,000 for staff professional development.

The Trustees also approved a donation of $26,000 from the Taylor Memorial Fund being half the cost of a Sonosite Ultrasound machine.  MidCentral Health provided the other half of the total cost of $52,000.

The Taylor Memorial Fund is administered by noted surgeon, Mr Colin Wilson through the Trust.  Mr Wilson is responsible for raising most of the funds through his work sponsored by Sydney University.

Trustee, Dr Murray Kirk, was awarded the ONZM in the New Year Honours, recognising his contribution to medicine in New Zealand.  His contribution continues.
