Recent Grants

The Trustees also approved a donation of $26,000 from the Taylor Memorial Fund being half the cost of a Sonosite Ultrasound machine.  MCH provided the other half of the total cost of $52,000.

The Taylor Memorial Fund is administered by noted surgeon, Mr Colin Wilson through the Trust.  Mr Wilson is responsible for raising most of the funds through his work sponsored by Sydney University.

Over the last four months Trustees have approved grants for nursing staff to attend significant international conferences/workshops covering pain, diabetes, stroke, etc; held in Brisbane, Melbourne, Minneapolis, Phoenix, San Antonio and Montreal.  This is in keeping with the Trust’s objectives of achieving the best possible patient care at our hospital through enhancing staff education.
